Our Island History

Opened in 1958, Hillcrest Cemetery was designed as a memorial park. This means that all of the markers and monuments placed in the cemetery are flush with the ground and therefore maintain a park-like appearance when passing by. This style has appealed to many families and over the years we have been honored to be the final resting place for many storied island families.

As Hillcrest has taken on renewed interest, we have also added many new options and some exciting future plans as well. From Cremation and Traditional options to Green Burial choices, we have a service fitting for most families. We are also the first and only in Kitsap County and the surrounding areas to become certified by the Green Burial Council.
